Several (perhaps many) people have experienced missing Calc help and there have
been threads on this list and on the forums. There are files you can download.

To delete a column, click on the column identifier above row 1. The
entire column
will be marked. Then EDIT => Delete Cells will do it - that is if you
have not
previously merged a cell in this column. If you have, you must unmerge
the cells
first.
