[users] Application launch - help

[dakotabkb-openoffice]

I've downloaded OpenOffice (twice) and installed it on my PC.  There is no 
obvious way to launch any of the app's.  There are no icons (shortcuts) on my 
desk top and no icon in the system tray.  I'm lost.
