I'm not exactly sure how to help you myself other than to say, it would be a
good idea to post a fresh message to the list, instead of replying to another
message and just changing the subject.

The reason for that is many mail readers "thread" messages, and your message
got stuck under an old thread in my reader, and it may have been overlooked
by someone else who has moved on.

I've never had a document get stuck on starting on a page other than 1. So,
you have inserted a page number field in your document, and it starts at 7?

Have you double clicked on the number and edited the offset? (in mine if you
double click on the grey area where the number shows up it brings up the edit
fields box). In the lower right corner of the edit field box is an option
called "offset" which adjusts what number the page numbering starts at.
