I subscribe to the digest and use Thunderbird for my mail reader.
All I do is right click on the email and select to save as a text file.
I save all of these files to the same directory on my PC so I can later
search for a specific item that I want to look up. If you use
Thunderbird, you might want to give it a try.

My solution to the amount of traffic on the list is to use the gmane
newsreader interface at gmane.comp.openoffice.questions.
The only problem is that sometimes my postings don't make it to the list.
