I have OpenOffice 2.0 installed on a Windows XP box.
When I use Firefox/Opera/Netscape on this URL
<http://www.tutorialsforopenoffice.org/templates.odt>, the browser recognizes
it as an ODT file and offers me the choice of opening in OpenOffice or downloading it.
However, when I do the same thing with Internet Explorer, it says the file is a
ZIP file!
On a machine that did not have OOo installed, it says that the file is of
unknown type.
This leads me to believe that either IE is looking past the filetype or that
OpenOffice ODT format is not recognized as such. I know that ODT is really a
ZIP archive, but it sure would be nice if IE didn't think so!
