Your symptom sounds like a missing Greek font. I have noticed with 2.0.1 that fonts may or may not be available even though they are in the repository <path_to>/openoffice.org2/share/fonts For example, I have used FontOOo to install Times and Times New Roman and Times is not available even with a raw install. Perhaps you have encountered this too.
