Subject: [users] OpenOffice document sending
Hello!
Before all I apologize for my bad english.
<cut> if I save my previously Word or Exel documents with the .odt
extension (or if I create new
.odt or .ods documents), will the people I send them to be able to open
and
read them correctly with Word or Exel?
Thanks for your answer.
Sincerely yours,
Amandine

You can open MS Office files in OOo and resave them to the .odt or .ods
formats for viewing OOo, but that is not necessary. OOo will open MSO files
(but MSO will not open OOo files). One of the Options (under Tools) is to
automatically save the files in MSO extensions so you can send these to
people that only have MSO.
