Well, there is a reason, the biggest page posible in impress is 119x119.
This is a known issue, you can track it here:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=4219
It doesn't seen it's going to get corrected soon, as it has some deep
implications in the code. You can find an explanation on the link above.
