Two problems encountered: 1. I had a database. I managed to construct an SQL question and it displayed the results in a window which seemed correct. I then found I could not copy the results nor save them in any way. What should I do? Save and save as w 2. My system failed to hibernate properly and when I tried to start it up again this morning it hung and I had to crash the system and restart. Openoffice then suggested I recover my files which I did. I then found I had lost the entire contents of my database. This is a problem I used to find with StarOffice in that it was better not to recover files but just carry on. I suspect that the data I had entered into the database had never got properly saved to disk. It is confusing as to how to save it. One can save one record but one does not seem able to save the whole table or at least I am not sure whether it ever got saved properly. Perhaps the recovery program just went back to the copy on disk which had no data and recovered that. Ugh!
