Open a new Writer document then go to: "Menu -> File -> Wizards -> Install new dictionaries" follow the wizard instructions, download list and select the one(s) you want. When you have the dictionaries installed, search the help file for "Document Language" to learn more about selecting language settings and spell checking for your documents. Hope this helps.
