Or something like: "Clicking on these boxes will make MS Word and Excel files open in OpenOffice when the files are double clicked in Explorer." Followed with a pop-up Help box that would explain to the user that this doesn't uninstall MS Office, or change the format of the files. Another suggestion might be to put this off until the person actually starts OOo for the first time, rather than do it by default.
