Not only can you use open office -- you get a choice!

If you install Apple's X11 software, you can run the latest and greatest version of Open Office.org, or you can use NeoOffice from NeoOffice.org, which is a much more Mac Suite based on the same code.

Both are free

The X11 version offers you the all teh new features and file formats while NeoOffice offers easy access to your system fonts, printers and presents the directories for saving and opening like any other mac application.

Have Fun
