I have only just installed Open Office and I have the following problem. I usually use the German version of Microsoft Word and in that there is a button called "Seite einrichten". You reach it by clicking "File" and then it is in the drop down file. I need it to decide for example whether I want to write in horizontal form, but more important there is a rider for tables where I can activate the network so that it will be printed. Is there a similar button on Open Office? If so, where do I find it? Thanks Janet

Suggesting that they also install OpenOffice.org (OOo) might be a good idea, but that is not necessary. When sending attachments, use the "Save As" function first. In the File type drop down list, choose the Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (*.doc) option. Then send the *.doc file. You can even email the document from within OOo. It accesses your default email client and creates an attachment of your document.
