I've certainly got no complaints about freebsd, for example - although its multimedia support isn't as good as some. Freebsd has a stand-alone version, freesbie, which IIRC has been built with openoffice included. Look at the web sites before you jump!
DC is right though - freesbie is /very/ slow loading.
