Andy,
Let me stand corrected. There is no installer. But, nonetheless, when
I run the program, it launches, but then times out about 30 seconds
later, never running.
I have X11 running, as I used to use OO 1.x, and I also have GIMP up
and running.
As for the files, you must have a faster computer. Mine takes about 3
minutes.
Ideas about getting OO 2.x to run on my Mac?

There is no installer for 2.0 -- just drag the application from the
disk image to your applications folder. Make sure you have Apple's
X11 software installed. BTW to save the same file (just under 400k)
from 2.0 and Neo took about the same time. I didn't time it, but it
was less than a minute in each case.
Thanks
Andy

Hello,
I have tried using the OO version instead of Neo.
I can not get a installable version of the damn software. I have
downloaded it on numerous occasions, and vacrified all the
possibilities, and it will not install. The damn installers times
out.
Ideas?

Hello
Thanks for the help.
I am all for cross compatibility, but when saving a file
(recommended
on a regular to avoid loss of work) takes 2-3 minutes t save, is
this
not a major hindrance?
THen consider using the X11 version which does not have the JAVA
overhead. This is one of the penalties of using Neo.
