Someone sent me a MS Word file (doc), which originally was a pdf. Don't ask me how he converted it to MS Word format, I don't know.
I use the Swedish version of OOo 1.1.5 and everything I write is in Swedish, so I have the Swedish spell checker installed and so on. Now, after opening the word file, I noticed that almost every word was marked as wrong spelled, and I also noticed that when I reight clicked them, English words were suggested. So I clicked Tools - Options - Language and changed the document language setting from English to Swedish. However, this didn't help. Those words were still marked as wrong spelled and English words were still suggested when right clicking. I also tried to restart OOo, but it didn't help. Where ever I look (Options - Language....) everything is set to Swedish, but STILL it seems like it spell checks in English. Obviously I missed something, but WHAT??? I also converted the MS Word file to a OOo Writer file (sxw) but that didn't help at all. Still English spell checker. I also opened another document (sxw), which I created (in Swedish) earlier today. This document was still spell checked in Swedish, just like it should be, so obviously there is no global setting that have changed or anything.
