Re-read my post. I stated nothing about what it will or will not break
the hold of. I stated that the cost of moving to OOo is probably cheaper
than to MSO 2007 and I stated that most users would not notice they were
using OOo.
I'm still waiting for something to actually do so. But, I don't think
this will be it.
As also stated, MS has not been competing on merit for the better part of
a decade. There have always been better tools than MS has offered,
sometimes light years better, a case in point being Netware + NDS vs
Windows + AD...
Lock-in and illegal business methods have to be dealt with first.
