I had notice, on occasion, several versions ago, that sometimes when I
saved a file as rtf, then went back to work on it, it was no longer
there. What I got was a single empty page, marked "1 of 1", with no
text on it at all.
At that time, I took to saving in .sxw, .doc. and .rtf, to make sure I
had the files.
The problem is that several publishers want to see submissions in .rtf
only. Tonight, going through a submission for a publisher, I found four
files at least which were invisible.
The table said they had 63k, 36k, or whatever, but nothing showed on the
screen.
What's happening?
Furthermore, most of the reloaded .rtf files have lost their
formatting. This is a serious problem for a writer. If I can't depend
on my files to actually be there, and be in the format in which I saved
them, I'm in trouble.
