Are you using Adobe Reader to download a file? That is what is sounds
like you are doing.
Use Internet Explorer to go to this link:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/index.html.
Click the "Download OpenOffice.org" link.
Enter your language (US English if this is correct).
Enter your operating system (Windows)
Enter your download site (any one of the US sites should work well).
Click the "continue to download" box on the next page.
The download begins fairly quickly. Please note that you will be
downloading an *.exe program. Make sure your firewall and or anti-virus
software will allow you to do so.
