Can anyone tell me how Writer (OpenOffice.org 1.1.5) handles importing Draw files, under Linux? As far as I can tell, the only way you can import Draw files is to use the OLE function and then things get a little weird.

As far as I can tell, there is no standard zoom factor that the Draw image is imported with. It seems that the zoom factor (not the height/width dimensions) of the imported figure depends on the level of zoom that the Draw file is set to when it is saved and closed. If the Draw file is saved at 100% it will be imported as a larger image than if the Draw file is saved at 80%. The Draw file can be easily cropped in Writer, but changing the zoom factor is not possible, at least as far as I can tell.

Can anyone explain how this all works?

Thank you in advance.
