[users] [moderated] When I create a document in writer and attach to an email it is not formatted properly.

When I attach a document to an email that is created in writer and send
it to someone that has MS WORD it does not open the file properly.  It
does not have any words it's just a page full of characters.  Is there
something I can do to correct this problem?
