In openoffice Writer I've inserted an automatic Table of Contents. This index
is based on the Outline numbered paragraph titles in this document.
In the index the titel of the paragraph follows immediately the number of the paragraph. Without any
space. How can I insert a or some space between the number and the paragraph of the title in this style.
(In this style you do not have the option to do this like there is in Tools->Outline
numbering->tab position->"minimum space numbering <-> text").
Right-click in the ToC and choose "Edit Index/Table". On the
Entries tab of the Insert Index/Table dialog, insert a tab stop
between the Chapter Number (E#) and the Entry (E) in the
Structure diagram. With that Tab stop selected in the Structure
diagram, you will see some extra fields below. Set the Tab stop
position where you want it. Do NOT select "Align right" for this
tab stop.
Click OK and your ToC should update with spaces where you want them.
