I'm having difficulty installing OpenOffice v2.0.2 on a Win2000 Pro machine. When I attempt to run the installation, it verifies, decompresses, and even copies files, but when it starts trying to update component registration, it spits up the following error and exits unsuccessfully.
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.1.1.cli_types,publicKeyToken="ce2cb7e279207b9e",version="2.0.0.0",culture="neutral"". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRE... I've tried single-user and multi-user install, ive tried complete and custom, but always get the same error. I've run some diagnostic progs and a registry cleaner, none found any problems. I've searched the mailing list archives and seen other people with the same problem, but none of them seemed to find any solutions (or they didnt post them to the list). After a quick google for "Error 1935", it seems to be something related to msi installers...beyond that, I do not know. I'd appreciate any help i can get! -- Life is good when the most you have to worry about is whether or not you're wearing pants.
