Cor,
Thank you. That seems indeed to work when creating a new character-style
from scratch. My new character-style 'Code New' says now:
Courier New + Kerning Condensed 1pt + [None]
in the Organizer tab. However, my character-style 'Code' already exists
and seems to have the font-size set along with some other propoerties
that I don't need and want. It says
Courier New + 11pt + Kerning Condensed 1pt + [None] + White,
Transparent + 12pt + White, Transparent
in the Organizer tab. Is there any way of removing the superfluously
specified properties from the already existing style?
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Malte.

IIRC, you can make a new character style, based on the default. Just
change the things you need in the new style.
If applied, it only changes that and leaves the other properties as is.
Kindest regards,
Cor
