I just downloaded openoffice.org 2.0.2. I did so when the name turned up in a Google search for a solution to the problem of opening old MS Works files with Word 2003. It was very frustrating. After installation, clicking the logo on my desktop does not open an execution file. Is OpenOffice a software application or a Software Cause? It looks like the latter. I am apparently not the on;y person befuddled by the OpenOffice web site.
