Try this. Highlight the text you want to be displayed vertically, right-click to get the context menu, select character, the Position tab and then the options you need. If this is not be exactly what you want, please describe more fully. THere are other ways to get vertical text that involve using Asian layout but you will have to ask about this method as it is obscure and somewhat complicated. I think that a frame might also be used.
