Hello, Dotan
Do you have a file called sofficerc in a location somewhat like the
following: "openoffice.org2.0/program/sofficerc"?

In a text editor, mine looks like this:
[Bootstrap]
Logo=1
ProgressBarColor=0,0,128
ProgressSize=-1,6
ProgressPosition=-1,-1

If I change "Logo=1" to "Logo=0", save the file and restart
OpenOffice.org, the splash screen will not come up anymore.

Cool. That's easier then the -nologo switch and also works when OOo gets invoked by something else like a file manager.
