Open Format/Text/chapter:Text
- disable the option "fit width to text" and "fit height to text" an enable
the option "fit to frame"
Hint: to maintain the proportions when changing the size of the frame, you
can press the SHIFT-key while drawing the frame with the mouse.

Thanks for that! That's been occasionally driving me nuts for two years
now. I had just assumed it was a flaw in the way OOo handled imported
drawings into Writer. My solution had been to paste special as GDI
Metafile instead.
