I think you are probably right. I don't seem to have this problem with other printers. Sometimes the current printer prints "properly" and sometime it doesn't. This randomness makes me think I may have a hardware problem in the printer. I am currently trying different drivers to see if I can be lucky and hit on one that works all the time! If that fails, I may just jack the printer up and put a new one under it. Thanks for the response.
