Hello to everyone.
I am totally new in this and very very enthusiastic of OOo!
Nevertheless, I have a little problem. I downloaded with my BitTorrent
the two images of the installation packet of OOo here:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/iso_downoad.html
I burned them into two CDs. I installed the first one and everything is
OK (I have my OOo working now), BUT: the 2nd CD doesn't run when I put
it into the CD reader. SO I had to manually import templates. But I
would also like to have available the Clip Art, the Documentation, the
Extras etc. What can I do? Can I manually install them? How can I do it?
(in the documentation I downloaded from the web I couldn't find any
suggestion about it).
Thank you very much
The Extars iso is just that extra stuff. The expectation is that the
individual user will manually install only what is needed. However, I do
understand that there should be a README or other such guide. As I ma in
the process of attempting to create a DVD iso, I will add this to the
image.
Thank you for the answer. I manually installed the dictionaries and
manually imported the Templates But I don't know what to do with the
Extras. Do you know where I have to put the "Extras" folder?
Thank again
Depends on how you want to distribute the Extras. I haven't looked at
Extras so you will have to describe some of the content before I can
give explicit directions.
I had to mount the image so I could look. Again it depends on how you
want to make these available. I make mine available
via /opt/openoffice.org2.0/share/template directory and then change the
path via Tools > OpenOffice.org > Paths > Templates so my path looks
like this
Templates /opt/openoffice.org2.0/share/template:
$HOME/.openoffice2/user/template
You may have to restart OOo to pick up the changes.
Sorry to bother you again, but I suppose you are working with Linux. I
installed my OOo in Windows... So I still don't know how I can make
available the extras and the ClipArt.
Could you help me?
