Hi

Attached is an Excel spreadsheet that uses a simple macro to increment a cell (it copies A8 to A12 with addition). (In case you're wary of using it the text of the macro is included and can be pasted into a blank macro.)

Assigning a macro to a key work works fine in Excel but it does not seem to be possible in StarOffice. I think it would be a valuable addition.
Hi Rory,

I don't see the text of your macro. To assign a keyboard shortcut to a macro use: Tools/Customize, Keyboard. The interface is a bit odd, but it works fine. You can assign the shortcut for only Calc or for the entire group of OOo applications. You have to go to the bottom of the lower left pane and find OpenOffice.org Macros, press on the plus sign in front of it to select your macro.

Cheers,

Jo
