It took me a little while of testing, but what you want can be done
although I am not completely sure whether you can make them entirely
normal.
Right click inside the TOC to open the context menu for the TOC.
Select Edit Index/Table from this menu. Select the Entries tab.
Click the "Link Start" box. (In English, it has and LS.) Then click
the drop down menu to the right of "Character Style". (It probably has a
"None" in it.) Default should work for you.
