HPT Vietnam Corporation having website:
www.hptvietnam.com.vn, has been launched a free
software of "openoffice. suite 2.0" abbreviated to
OOS. I would get your opinion on the matters as
follows:
- Has HPT Vietnam Corporation been authorized to be
your legal representative to launch the
openoffice.suite 2.0 software in Vietnam?
- Is there any relation between openoffice.org 2.0.2
and openoffice.suite 2.0?
- Is openoffice.suite 2.0 an legal software to be
freely applicable to any entities in Vietnam?
Your prompt reply would be highly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Nguyen
OpenOffice.org is free software, and can be freely distributed, and even
can be charged for. For more information, please read the license here:
http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/faq-licensing.html
Other organizations do not need to be 'authorized' to redistribute.
That's how open source works.
It always will be freely downloadable as an option.
