Rich --

I am guessing what happened is that she saved some file as the default template.

There is probably a better way, but this is a way to fix it (I think).

Style a document how you would like to the default template to be including styles and all.

Select *File > Save As...* and choose the file type as Open Document Template and call it something. You probably want to save it somewhere special like in the OOo template folder.

Then go to *File > Templates > Organize* and select the template you want to the default one and select and hold /Commands/ and choose set as default.

I found most of this in the online help by searching for Default Template in case you need more clarification.

cases.

We run OO.o-2.0.2 on linux. When she presses ctrl-n, selects File->New, or clicks on the "New" icon, the same, unsaved and untitled document shows up. I
cannot get a clean page.

Is there some place in the preferences where one can specify opening the
last open document when a new file is requested? If so, I apologize for
missing that, and I'll go turn it off. Othewise, I'm totally stumped on why
-- even when OO.o is shut down and re-invoked -- the same, unnamed file pops
up when a new, blank document is requested.

TIA,

Rich
