Hi Maurice,

Having earlier this year upgraded to V2.1 I am puzzled that I no
longer see the 'Exit' cross at the top Right-Hand corner of the window

there with V2.1)
Anyone know how to get it back, please?
One question first: Where did you find OpenOffice.org 2.1? I can find
only version 2.0.3. ;)
The "x" for closing the window disappears, when you have 2 or more
documents open. This works, as it was designed, it's not a fault made
by you. (OOo has the same behaviour in version 1.1.5) It doesn't matter
if you have different components (writer, calc, impress...) open or if
you have only writer documents. The "x" appears again, when there is
only one document left.
I don't see that. Whenever I open an additional document, it opens in a
new window.
It appears that there's a smaller "X" associated with the document and
not the window. That's what disappears. You can still close the document
by clicking the X on the title bar.
So when there's only one doc open, there are two Xs: one that
closes the doc and one that closes Writer. When a seconde doc is
opened, the "close the doc" X disappears, probably because
closing the window closes the file.
^Q closes all Writer windows for me.
