You email makes me think you do not want to take much or any time finding out how to do what you want.

Your evaluation of this is totally incorrect. I have spent *much* time on
this, hence my question to you.
If this this is possible can you send me a *sample* showing a) Database, b)
Two pieces of data TO the database from a VB6 Form, c) Extracting that data to
be used in VB6. Can this be done by PLACING THE DATABASE in the same file as my
compiled program, or does it have to be compiled with VB6? If so, how????
Can you illustrate building a database within your *own product* first? Your
inability to deal with VB6 may be a problem and therefore given to someone who
understands this - in terms of your product..........I'm sorry this was
directed to the wrong person.

Ron, I am sorry that I misunderstood you. Please accept my apologies.

You seem to be asking us to do your work. We are all volunteers who try to help out other users with their problems, but most of us do not have time to do your work for you.

Is that so. What makes you determine this fact? i was merely asking for a
*small snipet*, as a *way to understand* this process. Certainly NOT AT ALL
expecting you to do anything beyond this point at all. So please do not persume
something NOT intended at all. If you have no knowledge of this, then please
pass this on to someone who can understand the qusetion and the
INTENT.....Thank you.

I suggest that you download OOo, and read the manual and how-to's in the documentation project and try to get started. Then, when you encounter a difficulty, ask us to help you out with a specific problem.

Yes, can you point out these How to's to me? I have asked the above question.
This does not *seem* to be part of the How To's you will sent to me?

There are many how to's and documentation available here:
http://documentation.openoffice.org/
http://user-faq.openoffice.org/faq/ar01s10.html

I think you will get a much better response that way.

Yes thank You. But I still request the question above to be
answered......Thank you.

I also suggest you search in Google to see if someone else has already written about how to do what you want.

I thought I was talking with a group that *understood* this
product......namely the *developer of that product*..........

If you would like to talk with developers, I suggest you post to the [email protected] list. Again, you will probably want to subscribe first so you can see all replies. See here for all the available lists (including this one): http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html

Please also note that VB6 is a microsoft program and may not connect at all with OOo. I have no knowledge of this as I use Linux.

Yes, thank you. I certainly understand who created VB6. They were the ones
who directed me to you, and they were the ones that suggested I ask you this
question. Thank you for informing me that you use Linx, but what does this have
to do with a) Your product, and b) with the question I asked. Please send this
on to one that *understands* what I am asking.......Thank you.

(Microsoft directed you to this list? Cool!)

You also will probably want to subscribe to the list so you can see the responses to your questions. Note that you will get about 100 mails per day as this is a high traffic list.

What list are you talking about? Can you provide this list? Thank you.

See above for page of mailing lists available.

I'm sorry this was sent to you Crystle by mistake. I intended it to go to
someone with the technical ability to a) discuss your product limits - in terms
of my question, and b) to help me with a *small snipet* to ilustrate this -
which is a far cry from developing a program or routine to solve a complex
problem..........i look forward to hering from someone who might help.

It did go to all the volunteers on this list. I was the one who responded, albeit assuming incorrectly about you. Apologies again.

  Crystle
