Hey --

Thanks for the quick response, but this is very confusing for me.

Perhaps I should presume that OpenOffice is only for the unusually tech savvy
-- "unusual", as compared to most people who don't study computers -- because
I'm on the website, and I see options like "TDS"; "ISC" "pair"; and, "OSU
OSL" for German and French and it's maddening because, what does all of this
mean? How would anyone, who wasn't a computer science major, possibly
understand
what all of this means?

How is OpenOffice usable for the person who just wants to be able to click
"Download Here", and get the show moving?

What, exactly, are these programs?

Also, I really appreciate it, but giving me the link to
ftp://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/2.0.3rc7 is
presumptuous as it assumes
that I know the first thing about what to do with an FTP server when alllll I
want to do is be able to install and then advertise the program to friends.

Is there any EASY way to just install this, or is the entire thing inherently
an exercise in computer science?

Thanks,
Danya
