Not quite sure what OS you are using. On the one hand you say "sed runs"
which implies *nix but on the other hand you say ".doc" which implies
Windows - or can OO on *nix save as .doc ?
Anyway, if you achieve a single text file you can simply open it in OO and
export it as a PDF which should be readable and/or printable by pretty much
anyone.
