Hi CPH, thanks for your suggestions, but neither works
when I change the link from webdav:// to https:// I can download the file and it opens in OpenOffice. but I am unable to upload it, when I press the save button I get the following error from OpenOffice: Error saving the document report_06_05: The object cannot be created in directory https://server/zidestore/so/.... generally saving with webdav works. I also added the "Load URL" to the File menu, when I then click on the menu entry, the window that opens shows me my local file system, when I then insert the https:// or webdavs:// url then OpenOffice says "Nonexistent object. Nonexistent file". when I enter the same url into konqueror, it opens the file with no problem. Or does OpenOffice has a problem with webdav or http via SSL, but as it loads the files and saves them to the webdav drive, with only one OOo window open, i think it shall generally work. anything else I can do? kind regards Jan [email protected] wrote: > On Tue August 8 2006 08:11, Jan Vogt wrote: > > Hi, > > > > > It's a configuration issue on your side. > > > OpenOffice.org understands WebDAV natively and does not need any helper > > > scripts ( the one which makes a copy of the document in the /tmp > > > directory and uploads the file after you exit from OOo ). > > > > > > If you use Konqueror, then make sure that the file associations for > > > OpenOffice.org cantains "%U" which passes the URL to the application. > > > then when OOo is started it has the WebDAV URL and using "File" -> "Save" > > > causes OOo to webdav the file back to the web server. > > > > thanks for that tip, but unfortunately it did not helped at all. > > > > When I change the Command entry in the file associations to contain a "%U", > > changing the soffice to soffice %U, then I cannot open the files by > > clicking on a link to the file. > > When I have only soffice as the command, OpenOffice starts and opens the > > file.
