Then you'll have to get someone to help you with the XP issue, as it
doesn't sound like it is an OOo issue - to uninstall.
You also tried to 'manually' delete things (mentioned below) and that is
not a good way to uninstall things.
If you still have any OOo menu items, you could try the Repair option if
it is there, or the Uninstall.
Otherwise, you'll have to find someone to 'clean up' XP first.

It would probably be best to download the latest version and simply
install it again. You can get it from the web site: http://openoffice.org
