Check for the existance of the following file: ~./openoffice.org 2.0/user/template (for UNIX/Linux) ~/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice.org 2.0/user/template (for Mac OS X) If the directory does not exist, nor will any templates. This is/was a known problem and started in 2.0.2 when the Mac OS X team moved the user preferences directory to a more appropriate directory to comply with Apple's Human Interface Guide and Directory Placement Guide. BTW, the ~ above means the user's directory and is usually reached in a terminal session (the old command line interface) by simply typing in cd. I don't know where this directory resides for Windows.
