The windows bug occurs IMMEDIATELY on a new build either on a piece of
hardware on the system OR a software being installed. I have to find when
and what does it. Registry cleaners don't help (I've tried and will again).
The bug (one of several that occur for me on this) is that programs loose
their ability to SAVE values in the registry! But what program is doing it?
One of Microsoft's biggest flaws is protection of the registry data from
corruption (as far as I know there is no "permissions" control on the
registry).
I'm an (currently unemployed due to lack of a B.A. degree) SQA expert so I
can tell what is going on.

Randolph:
Have you tried to use a Registry cleaner? I don't mean Registry Editoer
(which can get you in more trouble than it is worth), but a true program
designed to review and remove Registry entries that should not be there and
correct those that were changed to invalid values. I would suggest this
before going any further in the process.
