I just returned from vacation, so I missed some of this discussion. So
forgive me if I mention things that have already covered, or if I
misunderstand the context of the conversation.
The problem of cutting and pasting between BibleTime and OOo has existed
since at least Red Hat Linux 8. Back then, it was broken in RH but
worked in whatever the version of Mandrake was then. IIRC, it remained
broken in RH and then Fedora Core through FC3. I moved to a Debian
derivative (Mepis) between FC3 and 4, and in Debian it was working. Then
OOo2 came out and it stopped working. I was told once that it worked in
Ubuntu, which Mepis 6 is based on, but it's still broken in Mepis 6.
Mhac, the BT->Kwrite->OOo solution you have found is the best I've been
able to manage, too. AFAIK there are no clipboard "tricks" that work.
I have asked about this more than once on this list, on the support
lists and forums for every distro I've used, and on the BibleTime forum.
No one has been able to help, or even point me toward the root problem.
I _think_ that the problem is due to some very arcane setting that
relates to the clipboard and unicode that isn't quite right when KDE is
compiled for one distro or another.
The problem in finding a solution is that there aren't very many of us who:
I. Use Linux
A. Use KDE
1. Use BibleTime
a. Need to cut and paste Greek/Hebrew texts from
BT to OOo
(Like maybe it's you, me and three others ;-)
And when so few have a problem, there's less motivation to find a fix.
All of that said, it sure is annoying, isn't it? ;-)

Hi Cor,
Yes, I did look under paste special. And it does not give me not much options.

Hello Mhac,

I found a workaround here. I copy and pasted the text in KWrite, then
saved the document as ODT. Then I fired up OOo and it displayed the
text (with all the vowel pointings nicely laid out).
Now, if I can only do it directly in OOo Writer, the better.
This looks as a prolem with the clip board.
Have you tried to look at possibilities under paste special?
Greetings,
Cor
