Thank you, Randy. I feel in over my head, though. I looked in Applications/OpenOffice 2.0 (I'm on a PPC Mac), and in Library/ Application Support/OpenOffice.org 2.0/user, and tried a Spotlight search, and and couldn't find spadmin. Wish I could help you with the printer tray problem.

Randy,

I'm also using Mac OS X and have the same problem

I did find a way to set the default printer for a specific document
permanently, rather than each time I print it out:

Ok, if you use spadmin in
/Applications/OpenOffice<version>/Content/MacOS/program you can set
the default printer. (I'm away from the mac right now, the directory
heirarchy may be slightly different). Make sure X is running and set
display to :0.0

I do have one question though. How do I set the printer to use tray 2
as the default. I can set it and then print but when I exit and
restart OO, it defaults to tray 1 again.

Cheers,

Randy
