True, your insert command works, but it is a long way from as
convenient as what I am trying to replace. In fact, it would probably
be faster to just type in the date every time than go through this
routine. So, I reasoned that I should be able to Record a Macro to do
it, and that proved very simple.
But, HOW does one call the macro when one wants to use it. I feel
sure there must be a better and quicker way (shortcut?) than using
menus to run a macro.
Hi Garth
To set a shortcut key for a macro:
Tools / Customize / Keyboard
In the top box set the shortcut key you want.
In the bottom boxes, select:
Category: OpenOffice.org Macros (and the correct subsection)
Function: your macro
Or, alternatively, to set a shortcut key for Insert Date:
Tools / Customize / Keyboard
In the top box set the shortcut key you want.
In the bottom boxes, select:
Category: Insert
Function: Date
Hope this helps.
Adrian
