Johnny idea appears sound but it may be easier to let the macro create a
new document, copy the selection into it and export that new document as
a .pdf file

Or let the macro create a new document, copy the selection into it and *
send* that new document as a .pdf attachment, but I guess that is what you
meant, wasn't it? Because I think someone said that it is already possible
to export a highlighted
portion to PDF, but not to directly send it as an attachment, or did I
misunderstand the whole problem?
I am still on OpenOffice.org 1.1.5, since my PC is too slow for
OpenOffice.org 2.0 (I tried, and it was unusable), so I can't try this
myself... unless I carry my girlfriend away from her laptop and try it
there, of course...

By the way, how does that "Send as PDF attachment" thing work? Can you
actually send email from OpenOffice.org 2.0? Or maybe I misunderstood that
too... I don't think that is possible with OpenOffice.org 1.1.5 anyway...

Regards

Johnny
