Hi, I'm new to the list and to using open office. I have an odbc connection to a posgresql database on debian (linux) and was trying to view my posgres data in an OO calc spreadsheet. I went to select data, datapilot, start, chose my datasource, gave the dialog the values for the database and table and chose type as sheet. When I clicked OK, I got an unrecoverable error and then selecting OK brought down OO. I can view my posgres data using the query editor or the raw data editor, I just can't view it in the spreadsheet. if anyone has any suggestions i'd appreciate it. also, when I try to update my data in the data editor by adding a row, i get an invalid cursor error. The data is there, i just don't see it until I refresh the table. I've seen notes on the internet archives of people having similar problems and am wondering if they are bugs and/or if there are workarounds. I would like to use open office to demo a database I designed to an ecologist. Thank you kindly, Randi
