Cool! I wasn't aware of that. I usually cut an Ubuntu update CD for a
friend every few months (she is also on dial-up) and then cut another
OOo update as well (Windows version). Perhaps I'll save the extra CD...
only problem is that the Ubuntu repositories are usually a version or
two behind.

Note to OP/Jud7j: send me a msg with your address & if you can make it
past the spam filters I'll cut a OOo CD for you directly provided you
are in the US. Email address is valid. I figure that anyone that would
try to download OOo for 16 hours is worth the cost of a few stamps and a
mailer. And _no_ the offer isn't good for anyone else :-)
