Update from me that the problem in opening big XLS files using Calc is already solved.
Previously, the computer had 256MB and I tried to add 512MB memory and it works !. The time needed to open 9MB files is less than 1 minute (before: needs more than 15 min). But still it is question for me because why Mxxxxxx Office can open the same file with 256MB but OpenOffice need 512MB ? Anyway thanks for the response, especially for Sandy. You are correct. Calc files cannot be edited by more than one user at a time. 2. The long opening time for larger files is the subject of at least one issue.
