Answer to Mr. James McKenzie
Below you will find my first email. Meanwhile, ONE of the files I
opened has been added to the top of the list that shows up when I open
OO Writer, <Fichier> <Derniers documents utilisés>, but I tried it
with another file, which I modified and saved, and then turned off the
computer (with the normal procedure, of course). This other file did
not appear in the list when I started OO again. My operating system is
Windows XP, "édition familiale, version 2002, Service Pack 2". I
noticed that in the OpenOffice2.0 Directory on the desktop contains files
Desktop.ini
OpenOffice.org Calc
OpenOffice.org Draw
OpenOffice.org Impress
OpenOffice.org Math
but no file "Writer". Is that normal?
Thank you for replying.
It appears that your installation maybe corrupt. I will have to look at
my Windows XP installation, but it is on the Professional edition as my
wife is a student and had to use this version for one of her classes.
And yes, there should be an OpenOffice.org Writer file, from what I
remember.
There's a bug in 2.0.3
Will be solved in 2.0.4
Closing Quickstarter before closing Windows, will help as well - if this
is the same bug....
